So, the question being asked this week is how to sort out the mess in the free agent running back pool. With Forsett, Snelling and Scott available in most leagues, people are trying to decipher which guy is the one to add in their league. For the short term, I would say it's Scott. He has the Raiders this week and Benson is likely out. Scott should have a nice game, and don't worry about Larry Johnson. After Scott, it's Snelling, and then Forsett for the short term. If both Turner and Norwood are out, Snelling is the play over Forsett. If Norwood plays, I like Forsett better, even this week against the Vikes. For the long term, it's Forsett, Snelling, Scott. Forsett has a nice schedule coming up. So, the answer to the question is...if you need a win this week, Scott is the guy. If you are prepping for the playoffs, go Forsett.
Those three aren't the only running backs to add this week though.
Sammy Morris, RB, Patriots
He is going to be back in the next week or two. He is going to be better than Maroney when he does return. The Pats coaches just don't trust Maroney, and neither do I.
Fred Jackson, RB, Bills
His touches are creeping upward again. The coaching change may help as well.
I still like Lance Long in KC, BTW.
Cheers,
TFAM
